The Earth poses glory before his curious eyes

The spaceman escapes the gravity;
A thrust that pulls violently on his body,
the outer reaches of space sets him free,
no more opposing force floats like a light breeze.

The earth poses glory before his curious eyes,
like a precious jewel entreating with no lies,
rotating through space, the oneness, the uniqueness,
no lines of boundaries, nations, one globe with completeness.

For a short while his mind is liberated,
No patriotism, man against man instigated,
The unabated tranquility of a world in perpetual motion,
The alluring colors blending perfectly, with no commotion.

His mind spills over with the joyful creation and the real;
No effigies, banners, reverence, bestowed with great zeal,
No more, this land is mine and that land is yours,
No more oppression, governments, kings, or lords.

Rendezvous with the atmosphere returned him to his longing,
to taste mother earth again and his sense of belonging,
The enlighted spaceman, now discerning the earth’s purpose;
What man denies, the earth gives beautiful gifts to surface.

I love humanity, our natural world, astronomy, gardening, and writing poetry and short stories as an enjoyable outlet. I also like to read. 😊
